I Thank Turtle for Dreamtime
For dream of Time
For beautiful Night Turtle was Born

I Thank Turtle for Following Heart
For landing Earth
For walking up Earth
For nesting Earth

I Thank Turtle for being Earth
For turning to stone
For fossilizing our Future
For tracking and netting eons and ages

I Thank Turtle for following Moons rhythm
For following Sun
For following Stars
For origins of Path

I Thank Turtle for sharing ambient divinity
For sharing Humility
For sharing past and future
For sharing great mystery

I Thank Turtle for being the shape to shift us
For Circling us
For Loving us
For Helping us

I Thank Turtle for showing us equanimity’s essence
For unfolding our 5 fingers
For showing us all this love we would find
For drawing so beautiful a line

I Thank Turtle for guiding us through this gourds neck
For your healing fertility
For your flesh
For endurance and strength

I Thank Turtle’s foundation
For roots of Joy
For Spirit
For hearts place

I Thank Turtles Medicine way
For launching stone canoe
For being key, unlocking our humanity
For shouldering our destiny

I Thank Turtle for caring our Universe on its back
For back of Earth, Moon, and Sun
For back of Milky ways
For back of one Mothers medicine

I Thank Turtle for ringing truth, being rounds ruler
For the face and hands of time and trust
For all encompassing measure of immeasurable
For being the length of love.

I Thank Turtle for hatching our hearts
For finding our voice
For helping us sing and dance
For letting us ride on your body

I Thank Turtle for the Turtle people.
For all generations
For all families
For all the endless forms, gifts of givings back

I Thank Turtle for bridging union and gratitude
For standing as rainbow
For sacred ground, standing still
For our Holy ones

I Thank Turtles pristine eyes for the face of grace
For the breath of our four winds
For all directions
For all Turtles shell will tell

I Thank Turtle for being Turtle, giving us our wings and our first prayers wheel
For carapace of such care and peace
For being zero
For being open heart

I Thank Turtle for spiraling, pounding, and weaving so many cloths
For path of light
For path of wisdom
For blessings way

I Thank Turtle for talkings first story
For listening
For laughing
For bringing us round

I Thank Turtle for our bones
For seven sisters and seven stones
For simply being, being simple
For our nest, our home

I Thank Turtles teachings for all relations
For hearts shield
For all turtles’ secrets will open and yield
For my Turtle Toes
